I got this idea that maybe, just maybe I would someday become famous for the wonderful Treats I enjoy making. Suddenly it dawned on me that maybe, just maybe I should turn my passion for desserts into a thriving business. Soon came the creation of Southern Girl Treats.
I have loved baking Treats ever since I was a small child! I have my wonderful Grandmother to thank for my love of baking!! Growing up, I paid close attention to every detail while watching her work her magic into her desserts! I know all her recipes and even put my own personal spin on them. Grandma always added a secret ingredient and an extra sprinkle of love into her desserts and everyday I strive to be just like her! She has always been my inspiration to one day open my own Bakery & Cafe! She introduced me to all the Fabulous Classic Southern Desserts and sent me boxes of cookbooks. I will forever be thankful and grateful that with her help & encouragement, I have unleashed my life's passion for desserts!
Everyday I work hard to get my plans off the ground, and its been one hell of a process. But I learn more about who I am, and the person I strive to be! I know it takes hard work & LOTS of patience to reach my goal, but I will never give up! Whenever I feel like giving up, I hear a small voice inside tell me to keep going. With my family & friends there to support my efforts, I know that I have a special talent and my goal is to share my talents with the world! Southern Girl Treats has been a work in progress my entire life and now its finally coming alive. I loving every second of this journey! And even if I never become Famous or wealthy like Oprah, at least now I know why I was put on this Earth and that's enough to put a smile on my face!! Stay tuned for more!!!
